Internal Loads

When doing block load calculations you can choose one of ACCA's default scenarios for internal loads or manually enter individual appliances. For HVAC systems that serve all rooms in the home, CoolCalc Manual J automatically selects one of ACCA's default scenarios based on the home's square footage.

If you manually edit appliance loads it's important to keep in mind the ACCA MJ8 procedure stipulates that only appliances that are typically turned on during the hottest part of the day (mid to late afternoon) should be considered, not all possible appliances that may be present in the room.

Note: If you selected “Room-by-room” for the load calculation type you enter internal loads for each room in the dimensions section.
